A local physician is swimming with the sharks and looking for investors to grow a product she says will help both women and men.
Dr. Shannon Klingman is a big fan of Shark Tank, and just auditioned to be on the ABC TV show.
She's looking for investors for a new product she's developed called Lume Deodorant for Underarms and Private Parts.
"I think they're looking for innovators," she said. "And I can tell you there has been nothing new, nothing innovative in the deodorant categories since 1865."
Lume is an natural deodorant. It began as a way to solve odor problems for women, but she said it works great for men too.
"It took a gynecologist to try and solve odor concerns below the waist," Klingman said. "And it works great for both men and women. And then in clinically testing it, we discovered it's also an outstanding odor control product for your underarms as well."
